Matthew and David founded Avvex to specifically address the problem of technology projects that do not deliver successfully to business and technical requirements.

Matthew Tuohey
Matthew Tuohey is a professional, outcome focused project manager with over 12 years of diverse experience that includes a unique mix of technical and business. He has a very strong understanding of system development life cycle methodologies and from practical experience knows what makes business and IT projects successful.

As an experienced project manager, Matthew has a solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies including project planning and issue and risk management. He also has demonstrated program management capability and is Prince2 certified.

Matthew has a strong technical background, outstanding communication skills and a healthy appreciation of business drivers and operations. He is able to quickly develop a rapport with stakeholders at all levels which is demonstrated by his management of diverse project teams that have included IT developers, business analysts and business unit general managers.

Dave Reeves
Dave Reeves is a professional project manger with over ten years of diverse IT experience that includes technical, project management, client service and general business management. Dave's focus is on delivering the best possible outcome to the client.

Dave is able to manage multiple complex projects and teams. This is clearly demonstrated through his last successful venture (b-sec) which he grew from a concept to an organisation that is still considered one of Australia's best security consulting firms.

Dave has strong technical and management skills and is as adept at working with technical engineers as he is with Senior Executives. Dave is able to quickly develop a rapport with stakeholders at all levels, and has turned struggling projects into success stories.

With a very "hands on" management style Dave thrives on challenges and particularly in undertaking and completing tasks that many people and organisations say "cannot be completed".

Dave has an extremely strong understanding of security requirements and technologies but is also adaptable to most facets of IT.
